Getting Information from a North Carolina Attorney at Carolina-Disability

I am Paul McChesney, a lawyer who handles Social Security Disability cases in North Carolina; to find out a little more about me, please see my my bio, and I suppose this website also tells something about me. I will be happy to talk directly to you about your Social Security question wherever you live in N.C. We will be glad to talk and answer a few questions without any obligation. There is a list of cities in which we practice, below, but go ahead and call wherever in N.C. you are.

  • To contact us to talk about your problems, call us at 864-582-7882 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday to talk to a live person.
  • Or, after those hours you can call 864-582-7882 and leave a message and we will return your call.

I here list a few of the N.C. cities for which we handle claims; note that they are primarily in Western North Carolina:

  • In the Charlotte OHA region: Charlotte, Gastonia, Spindale, Rutherfordton, Forest City, Davidson, Lincolnton, Kannapolis, Shelby, Morganton, Monroe, Concord, NC, and the surrounding areas.
  • In the Greenville, SC OHA region: Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard, Sylva, Waynesville, Franklin, Marion, NC and most of the mountain areas.
  • In the Greensboro OHA region: Hickory, Lenoir, Statesville, Salisbury, NC and the surrounding areas.
  • If you live in any other part of North Carolina, I will still be happy to talk to you and suggest what steps you might take, and perhaps suggest a lawyer or two; we take more distant cases in special situations; for example Appeals Council and Federal District Court claims.

North Carolina Social Security Disability Resources

The Social Security Administration, which handles both Social Security Disability claims and Supplemental Security Income claims, is a part of the Federal Government. The Social Security Act and Regulations, which the Adminstration is supposed to follow, are Federal regulations. The Federal Government is the government in Washington, who runs the entire country. For those reasons, there are no North Carolina sites that can tell you anything special about how these claims are handled in North Carolina; you might as well click here to go to the national sites for information about Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income claims.
